Cache County has announced a no burn policy for now at the property. Please be cautious with fire. No open fires. Fires must be contained with a pit with an approved design.
The order prohibits:
Using open fires of any kind, except within the facilities designated for them in improved campgrounds, picnic areas, or home sites where running water is present. Smoking outside of an enclosed vehicle, trailer, or building. Smokers can utilize developed recreation sites that are paved or free from dry vegetation.
Discharging any fireworks, tracer ammunition or other pyrotechnic devices including exploding targets.
Cutting, welding, or grinding metal in areas of dry vegetation.
Operating a motorcycle, chainsaw, ATV, or other small internal combustion engine without an approved and working spark arrestor.
Violation of the order is punishable by a fine up to $1,000 or 6 months in jail. The restrictions will be enforced by county law enforcement.
Private lands within incorporated towns or city limits are not included in the order.
